The Grimoire
Arcana Herbarium is a puzzle game built on a real knowledge system.
Each tarot card has its own grimoire page — identity, upright meanings, reversed meanings, symbolism. Each herb lives inside the cards, and each herb has its own page in turn. Solve the puzzles to unlock the layers. The grimoire builds itself as you learn.
It was built by a professional herbalist who has spent twenty years inside this knowledge. It is not wellness content. It is not decoration. It is the real thing — made playable.
The Story Behind It
My grandmother was a biology and chemistry teacher with a big garden.
During summers, she taught me the names of plants — Thymus serpyllum in the fields. And yarrow. Always yarrow. The plant I would one day carry as my name.
When depression and dementia took much of what she had been, one thing still brought her back: doing tajnička together. The Slovak puzzle where the clues live inside the grid, and a hidden message waits at the end.
After she died, I went to the river for a Litha ritual. I burned my wishes, my herbs, my grief.
The last word left visible in the fire was: tajnička.
That is when this began.
Arcana Herbarium is dedicated to her —
